p>the acquiescent bootloader of Slackware is lilo, but i want to use GRUB, so i have to install it. i download the grub sourcr file to my disk, unzip, then install. use ./configure first, then make, make install. after that, i should use grub- check to check my disk and install the stage1 and stage2 file to my /boot/grub directory, and then use command under grub>, the command is: grub>root(hd0,4)

because of the ns, and i cannot set the IRQ of NIC in debian, so switch to Slackware a little Linux, only 2CDs, and costs about 2.5G on my computer. after copy the font in windows, i can use simsun in slackware, although not so beautiful. and the most important thing is that i can install ns on the system, thanks godness. but i can’t use middle button to copy, and sth else, i will find them later.

i suppose that i have resolve the problem, and i can use ns2 tonight, but i am wrong, i don’t know how to resolve it now. this afternoon, i can pass the mistake after edit the source, but i think i should install a newer gcc, so i download it. after run install in allinone, i have been bloked at the tclcl again, and this time the mistake made me very faint, the only description is

a good wm, quicker than kde while launching, and the font in this wm feels good. although the simsun in xfce4 seems ……. but i can’t deal the wheel, so i can only use the scroll bar, a little un-convenience. OK, i have to check the devel package of linux, perhaps it is the reason that i can’t install ns. btw:I like the little mouse of xfce4 ^_^

Just found a method: get a codec package named all-20040916.tar.bz2, and then use command: tar -jxvf all-20040916.tar.bz2 then copy all the file in the package to /usr/lib/win32, creat the folder if it is not exist, then config the xine, locate the codec folder, it is said that all type of the movie can be played ^_^ and now, i am watching conan :-) although the ns has no reply :(

Just send a mail to the mailist, the first use mailist. The only thing i can do now is to wait the reply, i can’t find the reason, why this can be installed successfully on othes' computer? Windows has blue-screen again, i do not know why, too. Perhaps because of the drivers. but i haven’t met those problems before, reinstall perhaps will take no effect, because i have checked the drivers, but i can’t find the different drivers, faint a lot.

the input method can use now, and now i can change the fonts to simsun, but the font is still small, and i do not know how to change it :( . i still can’t use ns, because i can’t install it. i install tcl and tk, but the otcl still tell me that i have no tcl installed :( , i think i will spend all my night here.

i have re-install the MDK just now, from the HDD. While i use the old menu of the GRUB for install, the system.told me that there are “kernel panic”, and after i check the command and compare the command of lilo, i add a command initrd (hd0,4)/isolinux/alt0/all.rdz and the problem has been resolved. but i can’t input chinese now :( btw: i have found a error of my previous article, about the command of install from HDD ^_^

Haven’t here for a long time, because of the exam, although i hate them very much :( and haven’t under Linux for a long time, too, Because for the grub. Today, i repair the GRUB, I do it successfully, the first time, so i want to write sth here ^_^ 1st, i think i should find a bootable disk, a CD, because i have no floopy, and my motherboard do not support boot from USB port :( 2nd, i find grub_for_dos, it is a useful tool, which is a grub prog with a DOS shell.

What a pity, and I am under Linux now, but i can’t find the input method of Chinese. I was just install a MacX theme, and after reboot, I just see a changed pic, and the system reboot. I think i have to repaire the system :( and i have to find the disk first.
